smartvillage is coming to Cologne
Greif & Contzen arranged for the innovative meeting and event provider from Munich to move into the Carlswerk
The Cologne-based real estate experts Greif & Contzen Immobilien GmbH brokered a lease on behalf of smartvillage GmbH who took up 5,109 square metres of office and event space in the Carlswerk complex in Cologne-Mülheim, which BEOS AG converted into a highly attractive office and business hub in recent years.
The main tenant REWE digital GmbH is handing over the space in the Kupferloft building to smartvillage and plans to use smartvillage’s services for future events and workshops. The official opening is scheduled for mid-November.
smartvillage is a company from the event industry and was established in 2018. The young company creates extraordinary spaces and experiences for business events such as workshops, conferences and trade fairs. Its goal is to realise inspiring spaces in which start-ups, medium-sized companies and large corporations all feel equally at home and are able to work productively.
Following steady growth in Munich over the past few years, the company has now chosen Cologne for its first German branch office. The tenants of the smartvillage locations in Munich were transported to the summits of the Bavarian Alps and on a camper trip across Europe, so it will be interesting to see what kind of futuristic working worlds the company will create in Cologne, and what smartvillage will come up with for its official opening in a few weeks’ time!
In addition to the opportunity to use meeting spaces, smartvillage also assists other companies in designing sustainable and modern office worlds, and these are in increasingly high demand in Cologne’s office space market, too.
The lease was arranged by Greif & Contzen in the context of an exclusive brokerage contact and in close coordination with the contracting parties REWE digital and smartvillage, the asset manager BEOS AG and the architects Carpus + Partner AG.
