Greif & Contzen arranges for the sale of around 10,300 square metres to F.W. Müller & Söhne

The Cologne-based civil engineering firm F.W. Müller & Söhne GmbH is a traditional medium-sized family business that has been continuously growing in its premises on Pierstrasse in Cologne-Godorf, in recent years. The currently 75 staff members perform tasks in the areas of civil engineering, canalisation works and road construction for construction companies, architects, public-sector customers and private individuals. However, there is a downside of the company’s steady development: The construction facility in Cologne-Godorf has become too small and so it became necessary to rent additional space in Cologne. This is a tricky situation because the distribution across a number of sites has made optimised control of the company’s operating processes impossible. The property experts Greif & Contzen were able to help: Greif & Contzen succeeded to find a 10,300 square metre plot with around 3,710 square metres of warehouse space and just under 1,660 square metres of office space for F.W. Müller. The site is located on Wankelstrasse, just one and a half kilometres from the company headquarters.

Following the purchase of the commercial premises, F.W. Müller & Söhne GmbH is going to adjust the property to meet the company’s requirements. The company is going to keep the existing premises to allow for further growth in the years to come.

Alongside Greif & Contzen Immobilienmakler GmbH, the Stuttgart-based company Ellwanger & Geiger Real Estate GmbH was also involved in the transaction, providing support to the seller. The two companies cooperate as part of the German Property Partners (GPP) network of locally leading commercial real estate service providers across Germany.
