Nonwoven material producer TWE buys around 34,000 square metres of commercial space in Hachenburg
The real estate experts Greif & Contzen provided consultation and brokerage services for the transaction in the Westerwald region.
Greif & Contzen Immobilienmakler GmbH from Cologne arranged for the sale of just under 34,000 square metres of commercial space to an affiliated property company of the TWE Group. The site in Hachenburg in Rhineland-Palatinate will be used as a central warehouse for the TWE Group’s subsidiary TWE Dierdorf GmbH & Co. KG, a nonwoven materials manufacturer. TWE is a globally active producer of nonwoven materials for the automotive, hygiene, pharmaceutical and construction industries. Dierdorf near Hachenburg in the Westerwald region is home to one of the corporation’s production facilities.
Countless hygiene products such as diapers or tissues, furniture, lining materials for the leather industry, shoe sole materials, door panelling, back rests and dashboards for automotive construction, insulating and sealing materials for façades: Nonwoven materials are used by a wide range of industries around the world to make hundreds of different products. TWE is among the biggest producers of nonwoven materials, with 1,300 staff members working at 13 production sites in Europe, Asia and North America. Nonwoven materials made in Dierdorf are delivered worldwide. The local branch TWE Dierdorf GmbH & Co. KG is going to use the premises in Hachenburg as a central warehouse.
Planning provides for the two-storey storage building in Hachenburg that comprises warehouse, office and showroom space to be handed over to the TWE Group before the end of the year. The seller is a real estate company based in Berlin.
The Industrial and Logistics Properties Division of the real estate firm Greif & Contzen from Cologne that is active across Germany, provided consultation services for both parties, in the context of an exclusive mandate to arrange for the sale of the property. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
